Night taxi in Strasbourg
The night rate runs from 7 pm to 7 am, and all day on Sunday. It is shown next to the day rate on every page, so it is known before you book. Pick-up is by reservation, including after the last tram and before dawn.
Once the last tram has gone, options thin out fast. A taxi remains the way to get home, reach a late train, or leave early for the airport.

The Eurometropole tram and bus network stops running overnight. For an outlying town — Illkirch, Schiltigheim, Ostwald, Lingolsheim — or to cross into Germany, a car becomes the only option.
Late trains, pre-dawn departures
A TGV arriving after midnight, a flight at first light: both fall squarely in the gap when public transport is not running. Booking ahead secures the trip.
The station forecourt after the last tram
It happens every night and nobody writes about it. Coaches from the German airports and the last trains put travellers on the forecourt at hours when the city network has stopped running. The concourse empties in minutes, and what remains is people with suitcases in front of a dark tram stop.
Many of them have just arrived from abroad, do not know the city and do not speak French. That is the worst possible moment to start looking for a solution.
Booking before you travel removes the problem entirely: the car is there at the arrival time you gave, and the price was agreed while you were still at home.
What we are not
We are not a replacement for the tram, and we will not pretend to be cheaper than it. While it runs, it does the job better than we do for one person travelling alone.
Our usefulness begins exactly where its own ends: once the last service has gone, when there are three or four of you with luggage, or when no line serves your address at that hour.

Which band applies is decided by the clock and the day of the week, nothing else. A 2am pick-up and a Sunday afternoon one are quoted the same way, and you read the amount before you commit to anything.

The city network has stopped running by then, so the realistic options are a taxi or walking. The safest approach is to book before you travel, giving the arrival time of your train or coach: the car waits on the forecourt and the price was agreed in advance.
Do you speak English?
